MOJA HISTORIA
My History
"My story" is a unique musical meeting with Piotr Rubik, a popular in Poland composer of symphonic pop music, conductor and producer. A classically-trained cellist, he graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland and later studied film score composition in Siena, Italy under Ennio Morricone. His symphonic works focus on sacral themes culminating in the oratorio "Tu Es Petrus" (You Are Peter) written as a tribute to Pope John Paul II, who died before its completion. Rubik's recordings are one of the best selling in Poland and some parts of the his sacral compositions have been re-recorded as pop songs. He is also known as an author of pop hits and remains active on the mass media stage.
In Chicago, Mr. Rubik will talk about his creative endeavors, with four outstanding soloists (Agnieszka Przekupień, Marta Moszczyńska, Marcin Januszkiewicz i Michał Gasz) performing his greatest hits.
