POLAND'S ACOUSTIC JAZZ and CLASSICAL FUSION BAND
The Atom String Quartet will perform a mix of their own compositions, folk music inspired tunes, Polish jazz classics composed by jazz violinist Zbigniew Seifert as well as pieces by classical composers, Witold Lutoslawski and Krzysztof Penderecki.
This is the band's second US tour and second performance in Madison (see March 3, 2019 calendar entry). It is also the 10th anniversary concert as the band was formed officially in Warsaw on January 8th 2010. See more details on the band's biography page.
The band performs frequently in Europe and completed its first China - South Korea concert tour just before Christmas 2019.
The Atom String Quartet has released a number of CDs with some of the latest releases including Penderecki (2019), Supernova (2019), Made in Poland (with NFM Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra, 2019), Le Jardin Oublie/My Polish Heart (with pianist Vladyslav Sendecki, 2018), Zakopower & Atom String Quartet Live (2017) and Seifert (2017).
