WIANKI
Polish midsummer festivities
with ancient Slavic roots

Reflecting varying traditions and regional differences, the festivity is known in Polish as Noc Kupały, Kupalnocka, Palinocka, Sobótka or Noc Świętojańska (St. John's Night).

All ages are welcome to this family-friendly and leisurely gathering at the pond in front of the beautiful Polish Center of Wisconsin. 

Get ready to place candle-lit  WIANKI (flower wreaths) on the water, participate in Wianki Competition and join the hunt for the mythical Fern Flower.

Bring your own wreaths (made of the fresh or silk flowers) or make one at the
Wianki Workshop, 5:00 - 6:30 pm (details available soon). You can bring the wreaths bought at the Polish Fest or other Polish events, but only self-made wianki will be eligible ot enter the wianki contest.

Wear white clothes and bring blankets or picnic chairs for comfortable seating.

Food available at the Polish Café on the location (served from 4pm to 7pm)
